Emotional and Cognitive Processing in Early- and Late-onset OCD
Dr. Paul Malloy and Amy Allgair of Butler Hospital, Providence, RI, are interested in studying the differences in the brain mechanisms involved in processing emotional content in people with early- and late-onset OCD.
Participation is open to adults between the ages of 18 and 65 diagnosed with OCD who live within one hour of Providence or Boston. Participants will be asked to complete paper and pencil questionnaires, view a series of pictures of varying emotional content, and play a short computer game. Testing takes approximately 2 hours and will take place in a research laboratory at Butler Hospital or at Suffolk University, Boston, MA. Participants are compensated for their time.
